Q: What connects all the Claw projects?

They all build on the OpenClaw agent protocol. OpenClaw is the original Node.js framework. The others are rewrites, forks, or companion tools in different languages, optimized for different use cases.

Q: Can I switch from one Claw to another?

Yes. They share the same model provider APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) and most configuration concepts. Your API keys and workflows transfer. The main difference is runtime and features.

Q: Which model providers work with the Claws?

All of them support Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), and most OpenAI-compatible APIs. Some also support local models via Ollama. The model runs remotely, not on your VPS.

Q: Do I need a GPU for any of these?

No. All Claws call remote APIs for inference. Your VPS only runs the agent process itself. CPU and RAM are all you need.

Q: Can I run multiple Claws on the same VPS?

Yes. Use tmux sessions to run different Claws in parallel. A 4 GB plan gives you plenty of headroom for several agents at once.

Q: Which Claw is best for beginners?

OpenClaw has the largest community and most documentation. PicoClaw is the easiest to install (single binary). NemoClaw adds safety if you want to let agents run without supervision.
